We know New Year’s Resolutions can be quite controversial but here at Hound & Co, we are in favor of the New Year’s Reboot – don’t spend time trying to change who you are but give yourself (and your online shop!) a fresh start! Here are 3 quick ways to make sure you put your best foot forward this year and make the most of your Hound & Co shop:
1. Clean up your inventory
We know every item is special but now is a great time to clean out any items that didn’t quite make the cut this year. Do you have some products from early on when you were still tweaking your process? Or maybe there are some designs that seem a little dated or out of style? Why not cut prices and offer those items at a discount to make room for the latest and greatest? You can even let Hound & Co know you have items on special sale and we’ll help get the word out!
2. Revamp your listings and links
Now is also a great time to take a discerning look at your photos and copy on the listings you have as part of your shop. Are any of your photos a little blurry or distant? Take some time to step up your photo game and re-list those items (we recommend including 2-3 photos for ever item whenever possible!) and make sure that your first photo is a clear image of the item itself! While you’re at it, make sure your shop page has links to your social channels and a snappy synopsis telling your story – we find that a great story helps entice sellers to your shop!
3. Connect and share!
We know part of the draw of Hound & Co is being part of a marketplace that supplies an audience already interested in dog-centric product but there are ways you can help drive traffic and sales as well! Make sure you link to your Hound & Co shop in your social channels and share your items regularly on social and email.
